V13 head — turntable and eye expressions
A full rotation of the V13 shell plus the eye animation: open iris → blink → smile.
10.8 s, 259 frames, rendered at 1280×720.
Also available as a GIF (3.4 MB) — no player
needed, which is what social platforms want.
Why this matters for Demo Day
This is the part of the project a juror can read in one second. The manipulation work is the
substance, but it is only legible if someone narrates it. A face that blinks and smiles needs no
narration at all — and the pitch is a bartender, a job defined by the interaction rather than
by the grasp.
| Use | Why |
| Marketing Award evidence | The single most shareable asset the project has. A rotating robot face outperforms any success-rate table on a social platform, and the award is judged on reach |
| Opening frame of the business demo | Three minutes of business demo need something to look at while the story is told. This is that thing |
| Evidence of effort | One of the four judging dimensions. Thirteen design iterations of a head is visible work |
What is in the render
- Domed shell with a single large eye — the agreed direction, closer to a character than to an instrument
- Ear pods both sides, visible through the rotation
- Eye states: full iris (idle) → horizontal bar (blink) → upward arc (smile)
Still open on the physical build (unchanged by this render): joinery, ear-pod vents, and the head
beam. And note the constraint that governs the whole enclosure — the camera cavity is
92.0 × 32.0 × 27.0 mm, and the head camera is confirmed to be an Orbbec Gemini 335
(USB descriptor 2bc5:0800, read off the running machine — this settles the "model undecided"
note in GOAL-head.md).
